I have a knack for needing to go back into the camper after locking the stairs in the up position.
I installed a marine ladder onto the back deck of my camper. Due to the small size of the bolts and only four necessary holes, I was not worried about the bumper.
The ladder can be lowered easily to climb into the camper. I have used it more times than I wish to mention. It has been great for truck stop pit breaks!
The marine ladder cost $34.99 USD. I also needed to buy four stainless bolts, washers, and nuts from the hardware store that were 1/4″ x 1″ long.
It took me 15 minutes to complete this modification and cost me under $40 USD.
